The Swenson Family

I loved meeting Jennifer, Dakota and Shane Swenson!  Every photo  session starts with a session consultation.   I want to learn more about each family member.  I learn their hobbies, interests and most importantly what they like to do together as a family.   After my phone consultation with Jennifer and Shane I was really excited to meet this family in person.   One reason I absolutely love being a family photographer is because I love to capture the way a family interacts with each other.   My photo sessions do have some direction in where to stand or how to pose.  Honestly, we spend most of our time having fun and just being natural.  During this session we laughed, played, went exploring, learned some new knock knock jokes and had a darn good time!   I had such a fun time photographing this family.

See this handsome little guy?  I officially gave him a new nickname that his dad just giggled and giggled about: Dakota Muffin.  I don’t remember exactly what I was teasing Dakota about but Shane thought I said ‘Dakota Muffin’.  For the rest of our photo session he was my little muffin man.   He was definitely a ham in front of the camera.

I’m really excited later on to show you the many faces of Dakota.  I have never met a child more animated and full of life than this little guy.  I loved it when he told me that he wanted to be Iron Man when he grew up. I’m also excited to show you his Iron Man costume that he’s planning on wearing for Halloween this year.    This is one of my favorite images from our session!

  • FAQ: Session Consultation. What It Is And Why You’ll Love It! » Belinda Olsen Photography - […] Yesterday I mentioned how I have a pre-session consultation with all of my clients.  I love to have a consultation whether this is your first of fifth session with Belinda Olsen Photography.  Today I want to go into a little bit more detail about what a session consultation is and why you’ll love it (and why I love it too!). Our consultation is usually 20-30 minutes and can occur over the phone, Skype or in person at your home or while I take you out for ice cream, smoothies or a pastry.  This is a great opportunity for us to meet before our session and allows me to prepare for your custom session.  I want to ensure that your session is stress free of you.  This is a time that you can relax, have fun and be yourself.
