This summer one of my dear friends, Jessie, had two beautiful little girls eleven week early.  Fortunately, her daughter’s, Amelia and Eliza are doing really well and are growing fast.  Originally, her baby shower was planned for an August evening weeks before the twins arrived.  The way things ended up working out the twins were already born and we were able to see beautiful photos of them at the shower.  My friend, Terra and I continued with our hosting plans.  The shower was a nice backyard event with all spouses coming to visit.  Congratulations Mike and Jessie on your beautiful expanding family! Your miracle babies are beautiful!PINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGE

I love the opportunity to photograph portraits.  It’s great one on one time with a client that is my favorite.  A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph beautiful Sarah.  It was fun to chat and realize we know dozens of the same people.  Sarah is headed on a mission to Temple Square in Salt Lake City.  The next time you visit look for Sister Vassar and give her a giant, friendly hello 🙂PINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGE

Fall has officially settled into Cache Valley. I have also officially started celebrating my birth month 🙂 I thought now would be a good time to post some summer highlights courtesy of my Instagram feed.  This summer I did all sorts of crazy fun things with my hair including a hair bow.  Laundry was also my official demise this summer.PINIMAGEThis summer we started our quest for eating only homemade food.  Two of my favorites: pad thai and ‘rumbi’ style rice and pork.PINIMAGEI’ve continued with my weekly fingernail painting tradition with a hint of glitter.  After 6 years, the time came for me to replace my glasses.  I tried these Harry Potteresque Panguin glasses….but they didn’t work out very well for me.PINIMAGEI can’t wait until we have a piano in our own house! In the mean time I’ve been sneaking over to my parent’s house to play their grand piano and playing the organ in church lots.PINIMAGEOne of our very favorite highlights this summer was playing weekly softball with our ward.  I even hit the ball a couple of times!PINIMAGENo summer is complete without visiting my brother in law for an awesome BBQ and visiting my brother’s farmers market pancake stand, Stacked.PINIMAGENo summer is complete without beautiful sunsets and sunrises….the beauty of Cache Valley!PINIMAGE

I loved being able to photograph Sue & Kurt’s first look and wedding.  Their wedding ceremony was held at the Twin Falls, Idaho LDS Temple and it was beautiful.  I had never photographed a wedding their and absolutely loved the Temple grounds.  After their wedding we headed to Shoshone Falls for a few portraits.  I loved how their pictures turned out!  Traveling to Idaho was beautiful and I hope I get to do it again soon!PINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEI loved the grain and feel to this black and white photo I captured at their formal session.PINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGE

Meet my dear, sweet friends, the James’ Family.  We met Matt and Krista through our student ward.  We regularly got together for dinner parties that were always scrumptious!  Just a couple weeks ago Matt and Krista moved to Oregon for Matt to get his masters and boy, do we miss them!
PINIMAGEHappy Birthday tomorrow Krista! xoxoPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEOne great thing about photographing family friends, they let me play with my new film camera.  Oh! I love the look of film!  I can’t wait to show you more of my personal work, all done on beautiful film!
