Newborn photos are such a fun thing to photograph.  I usually go into a client’s home  for this session. (my favorite location!)  It’s great to see a family in their own element.   It’s always great to capture real moments like these with a parent and their newborn.mother and newborn photoPINIMAGEphoto of newborn and fatherPINIMAGETanner newborn photosPINIMAGEgiant yawn:

Last month the popular iPhone app, Instagram, became available on the android market.  I love having Instagram on my phone!  Here’s a quick little recap of what I’ve been doing lately, Insta style.  🙂

We went to Salt Lake to see the Avengers (amazing movie) on iMax  and the Wellsvilles looked beautiful:

PINIMAGEOn my way home from California it was misting. I loved watching the rain gather into a big enough pool that it would run down the window of the car:PINIMAGEHad the fun adventure of riding the metro in West Hollywood.  It was a fun ride where we saw someone get arrested, momentarily got lost and had people glare and my friend and I because we were talking and laughing. (we were the only ones talking. at all)  I loved the colors of the tile in the station:PINIMAGEBeautiful LA Temple:PINIMAGEI finally went to go see City Creek.  There were some really amazing stores there that I only window shopped. It was a fun atmosphere and we loved all the outdoor ponds:PINIMAGEGreat Salt Lake:PINIMAGEWaiting for a bride and groom to come out of the Logan Temple:PINIMAGEMy latest manicure:PINIMAGEMy cute bedding and photos from my friend Kristin:PINIMAGEMorning view from my bathroom window:PINIMAGEAmazing stained glass at Crowne Burger right before going to a Jazz game:PINIMAGESample of my lipstick collection:PINIMAGE

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to photography Marta & Allan’s wedding in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.  Marta is from Brazil and Allan is from Logan, however, they both live in New Jersey. 🙂  Their wedding day was beautiful and included guest from all over the world.

Marta used to be an international flight attendant.  After several years of traveling, Marta wanted to do an exchange program in the US.  She felt like going to the east coast was where she needed to be.  She ended up going to New Jersey and met Allan at church and knew why she felt she needed to be there.  Congratulations Marta & Allan!

Remember cute Jalene I went to WPPI with in Las Vegas this year?  While at her home I asked her about her beautiful illustrated wedding prints.  She told me all about her friend, Erin Spencer, who made these wedding pieces.  When I returned home from WPPI, I sent Erin a few images from my wedding and a few weeks later I received these amazing handcrafted prints.  I can’t wait to display them in my home!   I included a few  photos of my favorite wedding details below.  Such beautiful artistry!  Check out Erin’s Etsy store HERE.PINIMAGEPINIMAGE

Craig and I had a great weekend!  Friday Craig’s work celebrated May the fourth be with you day.  I find this hilarious.  The extreme Star Wars lover in Craig came out 🙂

Saturday, we went to the Avengers in Imax with some friends and it was great!!!  Craig was crazy giddy, but I was having nearly as much fun, so it was okay.  We walked around City Creek and I was able to stock up at Sephora (my favorite, favorite, favorite cosmetic store!) We ended the night by going to an amazing Mexican restaurant in Sandy, Los Cucos. I don’t say this lightly when I say that it was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had!

Sunday, we took the day pretty easy.  For dinner, we had friends over for a taco bar with four different types of meats and nearly every topping you could even think about wanting to put on a taco.  Such a great idea from Craig.  It was delicious.  T disappointing thing, I didn’t take any photos.  What a crazy photographer!

I hope your weekend was wonderful and full of fun Cinco de Mayo celebrations too!
